The focus of this project was to design and develop the enhancement of Orkin’s MyAccount (OMA) Customer Web Portal. This portal allows users to access their account data, pay their bills, reschedule services, and view payment and service history.
The focus of this phase of work is to create a more visual experience, add multi company and multi brand support while making improvements to code quality.

Upwave is a multi-platform entertainment brand focused on health and wellness that integrates digital content and linear cable television with technology including mobile apps, live events and social media to create a robust healthy living destination for consumers and advertisers.
Uniquely situated at the intersection of entertainment, technology and health and wellness, Upwave emphasizes all aspects of healthy living, including fitness, nutrition, stress management, sleep and relationships and includes personalized content to deliver actionable steps to a healthier lifestyle.
The multi-platform, digital-first start-up grew from nothing to 1 million average monthly uniques, 27.2 thousand registered users, and 9.5 million total visits in only 8 months.
These are high-fidelity wireframe designs to display the concept, UI and UX. This direction emphasized the quirky, unexpectedly fresh traits of the brand. The final designs for launch follow.
Along with creating the UI and UX of the site, our team had the job of outlining the strategy and functionality of the site, including the following:
The upwave.com homepage was a daily digest with featured stories broken out by day. Registered users also saw a set of “just for u” cards that presented personalized content based on a set of interests and goals that they selected during registration.
Individual articles were tagged with a set of relevant interests and filed under one of the five main content verticals. Some articles also fell under one of upwave’s branded content collections and sported this branding in a header at the top of the page.
Challenges offered users a clear, structured program to achieve a particular goal over a given period of time. Once users initiated a Challenge, they could check off a series of steps linked to bite-sized achievements that moved them closer to their goal. An interactive dial gave them feedback and encouragement along the way.
TrackIt was a web app that pulled together users’ lifestyle apps and devices and collected their data in one easy-to-find spot. Tracker Cards displayed individual data feeds (steps, local weather, coffee consumption, etc.) that could be pulled onto a staging area and plotted against each other to tell a unique story about a user’s activity.
